What We Believe

Reaching Above Hopelessness and Brokenness Inc., (RAHAB) is unapologetically Christian. We strive to go the places Jesus would go and to let His love live through us.

We believe we’re called to collaborate with all sectors of society and with others of different beliefs. We’re blessed to have supporters and advocates with different religious backgrounds who share our belief in the restoration of lives and in empowering those we serve to be all they were meant to be.

We don’t require those we serve to share our beliefs or to worship in a particular way. We weren’t required to do anything before Jesus gave Himself to set us free.

Mission

RAHAB Ministries provides Christ-centered transformational services to those directly affected by sex trafficking.

Statement of Faith

  • We believe God created us to have relationship with Him and He loves to speak to us.
  • We believe Jesus brings down all barriers and is the only pathway to God.
  • We believe the Bible is awesome! We find the heart and hope of God through His words.
  • We believe it’s our role to help others discover the love of Jesus more and more.
  • We believe all people are made in the image of God – our nature reflects His. He loves every person and asks us to do the same. His love for us is why Jesus came.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit is in each believer and He reminds and empowers us to live a full, healed, and abundant life.
  • We believe if people don’t want to be connected to God and reject Jesus, they can choose eternity without Him.
  • We believe that God created us uniquely and purposefully, and that we won’t find wholeness until we embrace the fullness of who God created us to be.
  • We believe our brokenness shows up for all of us in our relational intimacy and sexuality, and that Jesus offers to heal our brokenness.
  • We believe Jesus meets us where we are, invites us all to be with Him, and leads us where we need to go.
  • We believe heaven is a real place and is an eternal “welcome home” for any who trust Jesus.

Human Trafficking 101

Duration: 1 Hour

What it is: HT 101 is an essential teaching on the realities of human trafficking. In this course, we will illuminate the issues of sex trafficking, explain a generalized process for how someone becomes involved in trafficking, and provide practical insight of how trafficking takes place. We will also highlight what we know about traffickers, how someone becomes vulnerable to trafficking, and how demand for commercial sex fuels sex trafficking. By the end of this course, you will be able to articulate the needs and vulnerabilities of trafficking survivors and have knowledge of practical solutions

Who it is for: This course is offered to all members of the community who would like to understand human trafficking and is required for all of RAHAB’s volunteers and staff.
