DROP-IN CENTER COORDINATOR

Part Time – 20 hours per week

Description:
The Drop-In Center is the heart of RAHAB Ministries. The center is strategically positioned
in East Akron to be easily accessible to the women we are serving. The Drop-In Center has built a
reputation in the community as a safe, nonjudgmental place for broken women to step out of chaos,
into peace. Weekly programming includes Soup and Shop (home-cooked meal, access to clothing closet
and hygiene items, bible study, mentoring), Community Service (opportunities for women to fulfill
state- mandated community service hours, home-cooked meal, bible study), and Hope Recovery
(Friday bible study, home-cooked meal) Our mission is to provide hope in Christ to broken women.

The Drop-In Center Coordinator must:
– Be self-motivated and organized
– Set the culture of compassion, love and grace at the Drop-In Center
– Work well with others and contribute to a positive team-like environment
– Report to the Director of Community Based Programming

Responsibilities:
(a) Assist in overseeing programming at the Drop-In Center along with trainings/special events
(b) Oversee administrative input for Drop-In Center data
(c) Assist with placement and supervision of Drop-In Center volunteers

(a)
– Help facilitate Soup and Shop, Community Service and Hope Recovery along with Drop-In
Center Program Supervisor
– Build relationships and provide direction for women coming to the Drop-In Center for
programming
– Oversee donation inventory and organization
– Be available to teach bible study lessons and devotions as needed during programming
– Keep supplies stocked as needed, and oversee house supply and maintenance needs
– Drive the Drop-In Center van to pick up and drop off from Oriana House facilities for
programming and to the RAHAB office to pick up donations as needed
– Maintain relationships with Oriana House facilities for weekly programming
– Assist with specialized training for volunteers and RAHAB’s Thanksgiving dinner

(b)
– Track receipts and budget items being spent at the Drop-In Center and record accordingly
– Assist in tracking and logging volunteer hours
– Input Drop-In Center data in created logs and database

(c)
– Help track volunteer applications and training requirements
– Place volunteers in desired programming within the Drop-In Center
– Establish and maintain relationships with volunteers serving at the Drop-In Center
