Renew Your Training

Thank you for supporting those directly affected by sex trafficking in Northeast Ohio. You are incredibly important to all of us at RAHAB! We are deeply grateful for you, your heart, and your generous service.

As we move forward in ministry together, we are requiring all volunteers (and staff!) to renew their training with RAHAB. Every year brings changes in technology and culture that affect our work with survivors. These changes impact sex trafficking. There are new ways traffickers recruit and manipulate vulnerable people, new trafficking methods, and new ways traffickers maintain power and control over those they use. Thankfully, the research on trafficking is also growing, and we are more informed than ever.

We want to equip our volunteers with the most up to date information. We believe this information will greatly support your volunteer service. We hope these training sessions will be informative, interesting, and greatly valuable to you!

Available Sessions to Renew Your Training:

Below is a list of training sessions for current volunteers to renew their training. You only need to attend one session.

If you are unable to attend any of the listed sessions, contact RAHAB’s Training Coordinator, Holly Reagan, at [email protected].

*If you know someone who would like to start volunteering with RAHAB, please do not bring them to your session, as these meetings are specifically tailored to those who are already serving! New volunteers can fill out a Volunteer Application here and a staff will be in touch to welcome them and discuss the next steps.

Human Trafficking 101

Duration: 1 Hour

What it is: HT 101 is an essential teaching on the realities of human trafficking. In this course, we will illuminate the issues of sex trafficking, explain a generalized process for how someone becomes involved in trafficking, and provide practical insight of how trafficking takes place. We will also highlight what we know about traffickers, how someone becomes vulnerable to trafficking, and how demand for commercial sex fuels sex trafficking. By the end of this course, you will be able to articulate the needs and vulnerabilities of trafficking survivors and have knowledge of practical solutions

Who it is for: This course is offered to all members of the community who would like to understand human trafficking and is required for all of RAHAB’s volunteers and staff
