Position: Minor Safe House Licensed Social Worker

Mission of Organization: RAHAB Ministries strives to share the hope of Jesus Christ with broken and undervalued women and children, including survivors of human trafficking.

Main Objective: Oversee and provide case management services for minor residents.

Areas of Responsibility:

Daily Operations: Complete day-to-day operations with excellence

  • Maintain admission log
  • Maintain case record for each child in placement
  • Complete case plans within 30 days of each placement
  • Oversee administrative reviews within 6 months of each placement
  • Develop and implement resident Service Plans
  • Keep detailed documentation in resident files
  • Conduct 90 day reviews of case plan and create necessary objectives to meet long term goals
  • Follow all required notification and documentation of critical incidents
  • Write and file discharge summary when applicable
  • Help write and uphold policies and procedures
  • Conduct new resident orientation
  • Identify resident needs for medical insurance and identification documentations
  • Attend required staff meetings and trainings 
  • Identity triggers and formulate best de-escalation methods
  • Complete incident reports when applicable

  • Foster a Christ centered environment
  • Maintain confidentiality of all residents
  • Provide residents with positive and supportive interaction
  • Be physically, emotionally and mentally present with residents during work hours
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures in order to maintain safety and security
  • Provide trauma informed care
  • Promote biblical conflict resolution among residents

Coordination:

  • Work with necessary resident services to formulate transition plans for outgoing residents
  • Link residents with necessary internal and external links
  • Work as a team with the resident supervisor, case workers, and coordinator to ensure cohesive care 
  • Coordinate care with applicable outside care providers

Skills and Qualifications necessary:

  • Active Social License
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s Licensure, automobile insurance and adhere to a Motor     Vehicle Driving Record (before start date)
  • Submit a FBI/BCI background check clear of Prohibited Convictions for Employment (OAC 5101:2-5-09) (before start date)
  • Complete “Medical Statement for Child Care Staff in Youth Facilities” (before start date)
  • 3 non-family references
  • Mature relationship with Christ
  • Ministry-minded and ability to engage non-Christians from difficult backgrounds
  • Adaptability 
  • Extreme organization skills
  • Aptitude in problem solving
  • Astute communication skills
  • Trainable and teachable
  • General knowledge of human trafficking field and effects of sexual exploitation

Compensation: $21/hour
