Minor Safe House Case Manager

Position: Minor Safe House Case Manager

Mission of Organization: RAHAB Ministries strives to share the hope of Jesus Christ with broken and undervalued women and children, including survivors of human trafficking.

Main Objective: Provide children at the safe house with case management services

Areas of Responsibility:

Daily Operations: Complete day-to-day operations with excellence

  • Keep detailed documentation in resident files
  • Complete new resident intake paperwork
  • Facilitate individual treatment plans
  • Update and maintain resident appointment calendar
  • Provide transportation for resident appointments
  • Conduct new resident orientation
  • Identify resident needs for medical insurance and identification documentations
  • Aid applicants in necessary application processes
  • Conduct potential new resident interviews
  • Complete referral paperwork for new residents 
  • Attend required staff meetings and trainings 
  • Identity triggers and help formulate best de-escalation methods
  • Create an individual action plan with each resident within the first week of residents arrival
  • Establish resident short term and long term goals
  • Complete incident reports when applicable
  • Create summative case plan within the first two weeks of residents arrival
  • Conduct 90 day reviews of case plan and create necessary objectives to meet long term goals
  • Coordinate social learning models
  • Implement youth development activities
  • Facilitate appropriate family visits 

Environmental: Foster a Christ centered environment

  • Maintain confidentiality of all residents
  • Provide residents with positive and supportive interaction
  • Be physically, emotionally and mentally present with residents during work hours
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures in order to maintain safety and security
  • Provide trauma informed care
  • Promote biblical conflict resolution among staff and residents

Coordination: Ensure cohesive care

  • Directly report to Licensed Social Worker and Safe House Coordinator
  • Ensure coordination with court officials
  • Coordinate appointment calendar with other staff members
  • Work with necessary resident services to formulate transition plans for outgoing residents
  • Link residents with necessary internal and external links
  • Work as a team with the resident supervisors, child care workers and fellow case workers to ensure cohesive care 
  • Coordinate care with applicable outside care providers

Skills and Qualifications necessary:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s Licensure, automobile insurance and adhere to a Motor     Vehicle Driving Record (before start date)
  • Submit a FBI/BCI background check clear of Prohibited Convictions for Employment (OAC 5101:2-5-09) (before start date)
  • Complete “Medical Statement for Child Care Staff in Youth Facilities” (before start date)
  • 3 non-family references
  • Mature relationship with Christ
  • Ministry-minded and ability to engage non-Christians from difficult backgrounds
  • Adaptability 
  • Extreme organization skills
  • Aptitude in problem solving
  • Astute communication skills
  • Trainable and teachable
  • General knowledge of human trafficking field and effects of sexual exploitation

Compensation: $18/hour
