Rebecca’s Place Child Care Worker

Position: Rebecca’s Place Child Care Worker (Full-Time, Part-Time, Respite)

Mission of Organization: RAHAB Ministries strives to share the hope of Jesus Christ with broken and undervalued women and children, including survivors of human trafficking.

Main Objective: Empower youth residents at the minor safe house to reach their full potential through daily encouragement and logistical support as residents progress through their healing journey.

Areas of Responsibility:

Daily Operations: Complete day-to-day operations with excellence

  • Ensure residents remain in sight and sound of staff at all time
  • Complete any documentation necessary in a timely manner
  • Maintain daily structure and operation with excellence
  • Assign and oversee resident chores
  • Help maintain cleanliness of the facility
  • Oversee meal preparations
  • Educate residents on good hygiene practices and disease prevention
  • Facilitate family style meals
  • Encourage residents to meet case plan goals and objectives
  • Participate in resident field trips
  • Monitor all material being watched or read
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are maintained
  • Provide transportation for resident appointments
  • Complete incident reports when applicable 
  • Attend required staff meetings and trainings


  • Provide residents with positive and supportive interaction
  • Be physically, emotionally and mentally present with residents during work hours
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures in order to maintain safety and security
  • Provide trauma informed care
  • Promote appropriate conflict resolution among staff and residents

Coordination: Ensure cohesive care 

  • Directly report to Safe House Coordinator
  • Work as a collaborative team member with the fellow resident supervisors, Licensed Social Worker and case managers

Skills and Qualifications necessary:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s Licensure, automobile insurance and adhere to a Motor     Vehicle Driving Record (before start date)
  • Submit a FBI/BCI background check clear of Prohibited Convictions for Employment (OAC 5101:2-5-09) (before start date)
  • Complete “Medical Statement for Child Care Staff in Youth Facilities” (before start date)
  • 3 non-family references
  • Adaptability 
  • Aptitude in problem solving
  • Astute communication skills
  • Trainable and teachable
  • General knowledge of human trafficking field and effects of sexual exploitation
