Position: Minor Safe House Resident Supervisor

Mission of Organization: RAHAB Ministries strives to share the hope of Jesus Christ with broken and undervalued women and children, including survivors of human trafficking.

Main Objective: Oversee the daily needs and care of residents, aid Safe House Coordinator in maintaining day to day operations, and manage Child Care Worker’s shift.

Areas of Responsibility:

Daily Operations: Complete day-to-day operations with excellence

  • Manage assigned shift of Child Care Workers 
  • Oversee strict adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Maintain shift logs and necessary documentation
  • Help oversee the implementation of Resident Service Plans
  • Implement discipline policies
  • Document critical incidents
  • Witness and document discipline
  • Lead and supervise residents in overall daily functions
  • Give guidance, mentorship, and biblical wisdom to residents
  • Provide transportation for various appointments
  • Participate in intake interviews
  • Supervise and facilitate basic needs of the house
  • Document daily occurrences in the home
  • Complete incident reports when applicable
  • Attend required staff meetings and trainings
  • Maintain order and cleanliness in the household
  • Assign and oversee resident chores
  • Oversee meal preparations
  • Educate residents on good hygiene practices and disease prevention
  • Care for minor maintenance issues in the house
  • Facilitate family style meals
  • Encourage residents to meet case plan goals and objectives
  • Provide transportation for resident appointments when necessary
  • Complete incident reports when applicable 
  • Attend required staff meetings and trainings

Environmental: Foster a Christ centered environment

  • Provide residents with positive and supportive   interaction
  • Be physically, emotionally and mentally present with residents during work hours
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures in order to maintain safety and security
  • Provide trauma informed care
  • Promote biblical conflict resolution among staff and residents

Coordination: Ensure cohesive care 

  • Directly report to Safe House Coordinator
  • Work as a collaborative team member with the fellow resident supervisors, Licensed Social Worker and case managers

Skills and Qualifications necessary:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s Licensure, automobile insurance and adhere to a Motor     Vehicle Driving Record (before start date)
  • Submit a FBI/BCI background check clear of Prohibited Convictions for Employment (OAC 5101:2-5-09) (before start date)
  • Complete “Medical Statement for Child Care Staff in Youth Facilities” (before start date)
  • 3 non-family references
  • Mature relationship with Christ
  • Ministry-minded and ability to engage non-Christians from difficult backgrounds
  • Adaptability 
  • Aptitude in problem solving
  • Astute communication skills
  • Trainable and teachable
  • General knowledge of human trafficking field and effects of sexual exploitation

Compensation: $17/hour
