Resources for Youth

We are glad you’re here!

We are so glad you found your way to our website. No matter how you found us, or what you have been through, please know you are welcome here! Below you’ll find lots of information about our services for youth survivors of sex trafficking.

RAHAB offers services for youth who are:

  • Between 12 and 17 years of age
  • Residing in Summit, Stark, Cuyahoga and Portage Counties
  • Have experienced sex trafficking

If you or someone you know are in need of services for a woman who has survived trafficking and is 18 years or older, please click here to learn more about our adult programming.

RAHAB does not provide emergency services. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911.

Minor Mentoring

RAHAB Ministries provides healthy adult mentors to youth who have experienced sex-trafficking. These mentors connect with youth to help them see their own inherent worth and potential, recognize healthy relationships, learn life skills, and develop positive decision-making.

Youth survivors are enrolled in minor mentoring and meet with their mentor once a week at one of our youth centers (located in Akron or Cleveland) or out in the community.  They may spend their time getting a bite to eat, exploring extra-curriculars, engaging in crafts, games, or therapeutic activities, and making room for conversation.

The Willows

RAHAB Ministries provides community-based, family-focused case management and respite services through The Willows program. All youth in The Willows program also receive 1:1 mentoring services.

“Thank you, this has to be one of the best programs we have ever seen.”

Community Resources

We connect youth and their families with outside services to meet specific needs. We will help you through any applications, referrals, or other steps to get the help you need.

To have a youth considered for either of RAHAB’s Minor Programs, please submit a referral form (linked below). One of RAHAB’s supervisory staff will review the application and be in touch with you regarding next steps!

Human Trafficking 101

Duration: 1 Hour

What it is: HT 101 is an essential teaching on the realities of human trafficking. In this course, we will illuminate the issues of sex trafficking, explain a generalized process for how someone becomes involved in trafficking, and provide practical insight of how trafficking takes place. We will also highlight what we know about traffickers, how someone becomes vulnerable to trafficking, and how demand for commercial sex fuels sex trafficking. By the end of this course, you will be able to articulate the needs and vulnerabilities of trafficking survivors and have knowledge of practical solutions

Who it is for: This course is offered to all members of the community who would like to understand human trafficking and is required for all of RAHAB’s volunteers and staff.
