RAHAB Ministries is proud to provide community trainings for those who may be volunteering or working with survivors as well as those interested in learning more about the issue of human trafficking. Below are the trainings that are currently being offered by RAHAB Ministries staff. Please check back often as we anticipate adding more training topics in 2024.

Available Training Topics:

Human Trafficking 101

Duration: 1 Hour

Who it is for: This course is offered to all members of the community who would like to understand human trafficking and is required for all of RAHAB’s volunteers and staff 

Trauma 101

Duration: 1.5 Hours

Who it is for: This course is offered to all members of the community who would like to better serve and work with those who have trauma and is required for all of RAHAB’s volunteers and staff 

Essentials Training

Duration: 3 Hours

Who it is for: This course is offered to all members of the community who would like to understand human trafficking and is required for all of RAHAB’s volunteers and staff.

The Basics of Crisis Management and De-Escalation

Duration: 1 Hour

Who is it for: This course is offered to all community members managing and de-escalating crises in their personal or professional lives. This is beginner level training.

Human Trafficking 101

Duration: 1 Hour

What it is: HT 101 is an essential teaching on the realities of human trafficking. In this course, we will illuminate the issues of sex trafficking, explain a generalized process for how someone becomes involved in trafficking, and provide practical insight of how trafficking takes place. We will also highlight what we know about traffickers, how someone becomes vulnerable to trafficking, and how demand for commercial sex fuels sex trafficking. By the end of this course, you will be able to articulate the needs and vulnerabilities of trafficking survivors and have knowledge of practical solutions

Who it is for: This course is offered to all members of the community who would like to understand human trafficking and is required for all of RAHAB’s volunteers and staff

The Basics of Crisis Management and De-Escalation

Duration: 1 Hour

What is it: This training course will build your skills in identification, intervention, and de-escalation of a crisis. In this course, we will describe what a crisis is, identify your role in crisis management, and practice the techniques necessary to de-escalate and intervene in a crisis. By the end of this training, you will be able to de-escalate someone experiencing a crisis, intervene in a crisis appropriately, and execute necessary follow-up care. BCD has several activities and requires group participation. BCD is not a Crisis Prevention Intervention course.

Trauma 101

Duration: 1.5 Hours

What it is: Trauma 101 is one of our essential training courses. In this course we will describe the neurological impact of trauma and its effect on the body, explain how trauma without intervention leads to lifelong health and social issues, and highlight the importance of early interventions to enable healing in the individual. By the end of this course, you will be able to identify examples of traumatic incidents, articulate the impact of trauma on the brain, and understand how trauma manifests in someone’s reactions Trauma 101 is recommended in combination with Human Trafficking 101 
 
Who it is for: This course is offered to all members of the community who would like to better serve and work with those who have trauma and is required for all of RAHAB’s volunteers and staff. 

Essentials Training

Duration: 3 Hours

What it is: Essentials Training will include the content of both Human Trafficking 101 and Trauma 101. We offer these two courses in one setting in order to equip all of RAHAB's volunteers and staff with their necessary trainings.
